The why's of tonight's vigil?

So many have said today, what makes 2,000 so special? Or they mockingly state that A vigil tonight is just a gimmick or stunt.

I think tonight's vigils and all calls for an immediate end to this war are not gimmicks/stunts but are driving towards one goal - bringing our troops home NOW.
