Over 30 Killed in Iraq Insurgent Attacks

Martial law declared in Iraq. 10,000 troops ready for door-to-door combat in Fallujah. CBS News put it simply: this will mean U.S. casualties. What they forgot to tell us about are the civilian casualtiies that are assured as well. But hey! this battle is very important. We are not just fighting insurgents or "terrorists". We are, as a Marine states in this article, fighting Satan. Come on everyone, this is the battle of darkness versus light. The battle of good versus evil. Come on now - don't you just want to jump up, grab a gun, and join in. Well, don't you?

Is it just me or are these kind if statements from the troops scary? I know W thinks this way, but when our troops use these kind of metaphors, it opens the door for rage and terror. It dehumanizes the insurgents. It makes it too easy to kill wantonly. Folks, STOP THE CRUSADE.
