To The Barricades!!!

I am tired, depressed, angry, really tired, confused.....
So W pulled it out and Kerry conceded, even though there are so many reports of "stealing" (read Palast's article).. Maybe it really was what some blogs have talked about; Kerry was there to just step-aside for his fellow "Skull and Crossbone" member. Whatever! Well kids be ready for one helluva wild ride.
The good news - I am a citizen of a Blue State. The bad news - the town I live in and the town I work in went for W. But even in the red states I think there is a sense of people pulling together into a tribe. We are in darkness now, but I think that very soon there will be a light at the end of a tunnel (think of the House elections in two years). With W running crazy, thinking he received a mandate, he surely will alienate many of those who voted for him. He will become reckless and swagger into further MidEast conflicts, increasing thre ranks of the anti-war movement. And of course as we diminish in status in the world as the European Union sees their opportunity to rise above us (remember so many world citizens are shaking their heads in disbelief today), many voters will turn to a new direction. And as those voters who cast their votes based on "moral values" realize that W's view of moral values means discrimination and war, they to will turn away.
But what to turn to? I hope that they can turn to a Democratic party led by Kucinch, Dean, Sharpton... that has taken up progressive ideals. A party that no longer is wedded to the DLC that seeks a centrist and rightist attitude. A party that will fight for all citizens to the end.
Spo it is to the barricades my friends. The fight is not over with this election, the fight for a progressive and liberal voice in the Democratic party has just heated up. So stand back Clinton, Lieberman, Mayor Koch.... Make way for the true democrats.
