Neocons pin Iraq on Rumsfeld

This article relates to the recent criticism and call for dismissal of Rumsfeld by William Kristol (uber-neocon). This is a very good analysis of Rummy and his standing (or lack of standing) in the neocon camp.

This paints a very different picture, for me, of Rummy. Maybe he is not lock-step with the neonuts. Still this is no excuse for all his blunders and mistakes. Also it is no excuse for his involvement and criminal activity in pushing this war on everyone.

So what is motivating him if not neocon goals of world domination? Is it the goals of the endtimes? Or is he just a crazed ego-maniac who relishes power and doesn't care who gets killed as he takes and uses it.
