US begins new Afghan operation

Our eyes have been glued to Iraq lately. But now we learn that a new offensive will be taking place in Afghanistan. 18,000 troops will lay waste to Afghanistan and then be pulled out to Iraq (or maybe even some where else?). I guess this mission was not "accomplished". Then why did we turn our attention to Saddam? Now we have the Iraqi mission blowing up in our face. Now with this new offensive, the Afghani mission will escalate putting more troops and civilians in harm's way. Two Mission Impossibles!!!
